Email: dvvap@concordnet.orgThe Domestic Violence Victim Assistance Program recruits, screens, and trains community volunteers to offer crisis intervention, safety planning, referrals, and follow-up care to victims of domestic violence. Our goals are to increase victims safety, inform victims of their rights and options, and empower victims to leave abusive situations. The program began in October 1998 as collaboration between the concord police Department and the Network for Womens Lives. Currently, we collaborate with the Acton, Concord, and Maynard police departments and Domestic Violence Services of Central Middlesex, Inc. Our service area includes, but is not limited to the eight communities served by the Concord District Court: Acton, Bedford, Carlisle, Concord, Lexington, Lincoln, Maynard, and Stow. Volunteer training programs are conducted during the first and third quarters of each year.
