The Chamber of Commerce will sponsor the Holiday Open House in Concord from noon to 5:30 p.m. Dec. 7, 2014, continuing the tradition of shopping, the holiday parade and tree lighting.

Thirty-six businesses will take part in the Holiday Open House with special entertainment, refreshments, discounts and children’s activities. The shops will also host a “Find the Elf” shopping passport so shoppers can find the elf and enter a drawing for one of two $100 Gift of Concord gift certificates and a large plush stuffed elf. Rides on the holiday train will be available for $1 from 2:30-4:30 p.m. The holiday train is sponsored by Barrett Sotheby International Realty and all proceeds from the rides will go the Concord-Carlisle Community Chest to help with their holiday programs. The American Red Cross will have ‘touch a tuck’ on Walden Street. Santa and Mrs. Santa will be at the Toy Shop. There will be strolling musicians and in-store music at many locations. Main Street will be closed from the rotary to Keyes Road to accommodate shoppers and the train ride.
