Partners in Rhyme is a six-week intergenerational poetry program where older adults join a CCHS English class to read, discuss, and write poetry with students. Partners in Rhyme enriches student life and CCHS academics by providing opportunities for social and emotional learning through poetry. For the first nine years, CCHS hosted the Partners in Rhyme series in its English classes once a year.
Funds from the Community Chest last year allowed CCHS to expand the program and to offer Partners in Rhyme three times a year, thus bringing the program to more students and elders from the Concord-Carlisle community. This will now continue for the 2022-23 school year as well.
