Cooperative Elder Services, Inc. (CESI) serves seniors and adults with medical or cognitive challenges through their adult day health center with a host of activities and resources to support their needs. Through comprehensive nursing care, therapeutic activities, nutrition program, service coordination, specialized memory care, transportation, and caregiver support, clients are empowered to age in place comfortably.
Funds from the Community Chest Allocations Grant will be used for the Concord-Carlisle Adult Day Health Scholarship Program, which provides scholarships for seniors and adults with medical or cognitive challenges to attend CESI’s Adult Day Health Programs. Adult day health programs have been shown to improve health outcomes for participants and caregivers, and to save money for families and the Commonwealth alike.
The Cornerstone Initiative Innovation Grant will help launch the Outdoors at Cooperative Elder Services Patio Project. As the pandemic has taught us all, the need for comfortable, inclusive outdoor spaces to gather is important and necessary. Cooperative Elder Services is furnishing their outdoor space at their new Acton adult day health center, which will allow Carlisle and Concord residents to participate in programming safely outdoors when available.
